Luis Becerra

Luis A. Becerra is a graduate from San Diego State University with a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology. His determination and hard work earned Luis the University Service Award at San Diego State University.

He currently attends Pepperdine University and is working towards his Master of Art’s Degree in Psychology. Luis is a graduate research assistant with Miguel E. Gallardo, Psy.D., and is working on a qualitative study on Latino intervention.

Luis is interning at the Pepperdine, Resource, Youth Diversion and Education Program, PRYDE, in the city of San Juan Capistrano as a Community Education Specialist. His role as a Community Education Specialist includes gang prevention/intervention counseling and education, and individual, group and family counseling for at risk-youth.

Luis will graduate from Pepperdine in the spring of 2010 and looks forward to pursuing his Doctorate degree in Psychology.
